Are you trying to find a new way to make money using your social media expertise? For you, the Amazon Influencer Program can be a fantastic choice!
Without making any upfront investments in inventory, product listings, or other expenses, you may use your influence to get compensated to promote goods you believe your audience would appreciate.
Anyone with a qualifying website can promote products and receive commissions on any sales they bring to Amazon through the Influencer Program, which is an extension of the Associate’s program. One to ten percent of every sale can be yours, depending on the kind of product you are promoting.
The distinction between these two programs is that in order to be accepted into the program, the “Influencers” need to fulfill specific criteria established by Amazon.

What is the process for the Amazon Influencer Program?
The Amazon Influencer Program is designed for those who have sizable, devoted social media followings, whereas the Amazon Associates program is targeted at those who have their own specialized websites or blogs. Amazon is entering the expanding field of influencer marketing, which has grown to be a well-liked and successful strategy for companies looking to connect with particular demographics.
The Influencer Program enables users to advocate a variety of products and earn rewards on the sales they generate for Amazon, much to the Amazon Associates Program.
The main distinction is how participants in the program drive audience traffic to the products they recommend.
Program for Associates. Only affiliate links for specific products may be shared by users on their personal websites or social media profiles.
Influencer Initiative. Members design their own unique Amazon stores.
In this manner, followers may click on a single link to access all of an influencer’s product suggestions. In order to make their business easier to navigate, influencers can even classify different product types.

Influencer stores are easily remembered by followers since they have unique vanity URLs (such as amazon.com/shop/yoursocialmediahandle).
Post links to your Amazon storefront on other social networking sites, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and your own website.
Conditions for the Amazon Influencer Program
Let us review the requirements to be eligible for the Amazon Influencer Program. All you need for the Associates Program is a blog or website of your own. For Amazon Influencers, the requirements are slightly more stringent; Amazon will examine your social media profiles to assess your suitability for the program.
The following are the main requirements for Amazon Influencers: Platform. Amazon will request that you assess the public social media account that you have the most control over when you apply. At the moment, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are among your choices.

While Amazon doesn’t specify a minimum follower count for its influencer program, your follower numbers are considered. Having a massive following isn’t essential, but it can be beneficial. More importantly, Amazon prioritizes genuine engagement. A smaller, highly active audience is more valuable than a large, passive one. They also evaluate your overall content presence, including the frequency and consistency of your posts, as well as specific engagement metrics like likes, comments, and shares.
The Amazon Influencer Program application process
Now would be a good time to apply to join the Amazon Influencer Program and begin making money from product recommendations if you have a sizable, active social media following.
The market for influencers is expanding: more than a third (41%) of third-party Amazon sellers intend to expand their businesses through influencer marketing, social media, and other off-Amazon marketing initiatives, and 12% of them are using influencers to promote their goods.
Click “Sign up” on the Amazon Influencer Program homepage to apply.

You can apply using your existing Amazon customer or Amazon Associates login if you have one. Click “Create new account” if not.

In order for Amazon to assess your eligibility, you will need to link one of your social network accounts to your application.
As previously stated, you have the option to link to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok.
If you apply through Facebook or YouTube, you can find out your approval status right away. Amazon may take up to five days to make a decision if you stick with Instagram or TikTok. Whichever account with the most followers and engagement is the one you should use to apply.
I choose to link our Instagram account for this example. Amazon will request your Instagram handle, number of followers, and number of posts. Those figures will be used to determine if you can proceed with registration.

After that, you will finish your profile and add links to your other social networking accounts.

Your storefront name and slogan will be entered in the following form.

Finally, input your account details. After everything is finished, click “Save and Finish,” which will take you to your Amazon Associates dashboard.

Once in the dashboard, you must use the account you used to register for the program to follow the Amazon Influencer Program on Instagram. Until you do this, your application will not be accepted.
Building out your store is something you can do even while your application is waiting!
What is the compensation for Amazon Influencers?
Aspiring influencers frequently ask themselves this question. As previously stated, the Amazon Associates program and the Influencer Program both employ the same payout schedule.
Every Amazon category has a set commission rate for influencers.
For instance, you will receive a 10% commission in the Luxury Beauty and Luxury Stores Beauty categories, but just a 1% commission in the Video Game Consoles, Grocery, and Health & Personal Care categories.
Examine Amazon’s Commission Income Statement before choosing a category to advertise in.
For some categories, the commissions might not seem like much, but over time, the payments will mount up! It is well worth it because including a link to your business in your YouTube description or Instagram profile costs nothing.
Suppose you tell your 10,000 followers about this well-liked pet product, which will earn you a 3% commission. Amazon lists it for $109.99.

Even if just 1% of your followers decide to buy the product, you would still make $329 just by posting a link to it in your Instagram profile! Imagine what you could produce with a highly engaged audience.
Make Money with Onsite Commissions
Amazon influencers can make money from “onsite commissions” in addition to actively marketing things to their audience. When affiliates submit “shoppable content” to an Amazon product detail page, they can receive onsite commissions.
If accepted, your product videos or photos will be added to an Amazon listing, and you will receive a commission if a buyer watches your idea list, video, or photograph and then buys something.
Because you do not have to market any products to an audience in order to earn money, influencers find this method of earning fascinating. All you have to do is produce content, post it to your Amazon influencer profile, select a product, and you are done! Your earning potential is essentially limitless because you can include as many movies or images as you wish.
The problem is that even if your Amazon Influencer account has been approved, you still need to be approved for onsite commissions. Click “Get started posting videos” in the “Manage Content” area of your dashboard to begin uploading videos and receive approval for onsite commissions.

Get your influencer store up and running.
Like a seller’s Amazon Storefront, influencers can customize their landing page by adding their own banner image and branding. Your followers will recognize your page as soon as they arrive at your store.
You can group the various products you suggest into distinct categories or topics, as was previously mentioned. All of the products in a category will be displayed on the page when a visitor clicks on it.
Similar to other social media platforms, your store can also have shoppable posts.
Click the link in your dashboard to begin adding products to your marketplace.

Then select “Create Content.”

I will go with “Idea List” for this example. Put the name and description of your concept list here.

You are now free to add as many goods as you like.
A commission will be paid to you when a customer clicks through to one of the products you are promoting and completes a purchase. Your Amazon Associates account makes it simple to keep track of all of your sales and profits.
